Artful Journaling: Explorations - Supply List
(The following Supplies are for the Artful Journaling: Explorations Class only!)
1 - 22" x 30" 140 lb. Arches Cold Press Watercolor paper
1 - Sharpie® Twin Tip Black Fine/Ultra Fine Point Marker Pen* (make sure the ink is permanent!)
1 - Mechanical Pencil with a LARGE twist up white eraser and retractable point (e.g. Paper Mate® Clear Point Pencil)
1 - folding Plastic Palette with 20 wells (e.g. Masters Folding Plastic Palette, available at Daniel Smith)
Paper Towels (Laure prefers Viva® Brand because they are extremely strong, absorbent, and reusable)
Facial Tissues (the less expensive the better!)
*Please note you may use any permanent black pen. You will need pen tips in sizes narrow (005), medium (05) and wide tips (1).
In addition to the pigments already recommended for the Foundations class, I recommend that you add the following pigments to your palette for Explorations class. Please go by the pigment number as opposed to the paint name if you are using different brands than Daniel Smith. There is NO consistency from paint name to paint name, manufacturer to manufacturer. You must use the pigment number to get a "like" paint and even when the pigment number is the same, the colors can vary based on the processes each manufacturer uses.

make this item exempt for the 20% off offer available on the Imaginary Trips web site.)

These watercolors are professional grade and they are chosen for their specific properties. If you choose to use another brand, please make sure they are professional grade and NOT student as it will make the assignments more difficult. If you are a returning student, and purchased the pigments recommended in a “trip” class, you do not need to purchase any of these colors.
*Isoindoline Yellow is a recent addition to my Imaginary Trips palette. This color replaces Indian Yellow. If you already have Indian Yellow, it is not necessary to purchase this paint.
**Carbazole Violet, Undersea Green and Burnt Orange are also available as a triad, 285 259 077.
