Please join me, Laure, to learn how to create these Hearts Of Gold Quilt Squares! Simple to create and yet endlessly changeable, these squares are painted with watercolor using an analogous palette. as well as a complementary palette. This class is designed to help you see shapes, choose color confidently and how to make fun variations on just one template.
Each heart incorporates a small swirl of gold watercolor and each design starts from a golden circle. The bold, black lines work to lend each design a graphic look.
Space has been left below each square for you to add a holiday sentiment, if desired.
This class explores both an analogous palette as well as the use of complementary colors to create more dynamic color combinations. I won’t say it’s stress-free (that’s up to you), but I can say it is a great way to learn about using both palettes!
This class will be hosted on the Zoom platform with an opportunity for you to ask questions in real time. Zoom is a free tool and you only need your computer to access it. You may need to download the Zoom app to get the most out of the tool.
Once you are registered, I will send out information on your homework and what steps you will need to complete ahead of time to be ready for class!

Transfer Papers
All transfer papers are NOT created equally. I used both a white and a graphite transfer paper in the quilt project. You do not have to purchase either item to make the project work as I show you alternate ways to create a transfer. With that said, if you find yourself doing a lot of these, it’s worth the investment to get the transfer papers.
If you purchase graphite transfer paper please be sure it is Wax Free.
To transfer your project without graphite transfer paper, you can use a window or light box.
For the areas where a white transfer paper would work best, you can use a white charcoal pencil to create the transfer by scribbling on the back of the paper to be transferred. Several methods of transfer will be shown in the class.
